How We Sterilize Our Nail Tools
At Gossip Nails, we believe that impeccable hygiene is the foundation of luxury. You should never have to wonder if your nail salon's tools are clean.
We go far beyond standard state board requirements, employing medical-grade sterilization techniques to ensure 100% safety for every client.

The Autoclave Difference
Many salons simply soak their tools in a blue liquid disinfectant (Barbicide). While this sanitizes, it does not completely sterilize.
We use a hospital-grade autoclave. After being scrubbed and washed, all our metal implements (nippers, pushers, clippers) are sealed in sterilization pouches and subjected to high-pressure steam at 250°F. This process kills 100% of all bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
Single-Use Porous Tools
Tools that cannot be sterilized in an autoclave—such as nail files, buffers, and pumice stones—are strictly single-use.
We open a fresh, new kit for every single appointment. Once your service is over, those items are discarded. We never reuse a nail file on multiple clients.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know the tools are sterilized?
We open the sealed, color-changing sterilization pouch right in front of you at the beginning of your service.
Do you clean the pedicure bowls?
Yes. We use single-use disposable liners for every pedicure, and the bowl itself is thoroughly disinfected between clients.
